The ubiquity of computing and cheap hardware in contemporary society have brought technology increasingly within the attention and reach of those working in the Humanities. In turn, many within the technology sector have become aware that understanding human nature is fundamental to understanding our interactions with technology.
A new generation of academics and practitioners working in such fields as Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Humanities and Web Science has arisen to tackle these issues. The pioneering nature of their agendas has resulted in work that could be better integrated into the mainstream of both sectors. InterFace provides a forum through which researchers can learn about the latest developments in both Technology and the Humanities in order to create groundbreaking new combinations between them.

I have been working as a Web Developer for almost 4 years now and my work keeps on amazing me. I feel fortunate that I am in a profession where there are constant changes or improvements. This is very suitable for me because I am the type of person who gets easily bored. You can keep my attention glued if there is something interesting or really fascinating I have witnessed and experienced huge changes in technology. Things now get slimmer and faster. It’s not only about the design but function as well. The harmonious combination of aesthetics and function is just so great.
Being in the IT industry, one should not be stagnant otherwise he will be obsolete and in effect his skills will be no longer marketable. Attending group meet-ups, lectures and seminars would help an IT professional to keep abreast with the latest in the industry. Last week I attended an IT seminar together with my friend Kyle. I fetch her at around 6am since we have to travel for an hour going to the venue. I used my brand new Ford car which I bought from cheap new cars at a cheaper price. Its machine is good, ideal for long travels. When we arrive at the seminar venue, we met different people who are also working in IT companies. Among them are Dave, an SEO expert from Nottingham SEO company and another guy from Website Design Hong Kong. It is so cool to exchange ideas from other IT professionals, we learned a lot. I am looking forward to attend seminars again. The seminar ended at around 6pm. Kyle invited me to have dinner at her new home which she found at BMV property. She did not have a hard time to a get a loan approval at dream house loan because she has a good credit standing. Prior to buying of her current house Kyle was renting a little nice pad at Nottingham which was referred to her by Nottingham Letting Agent. She stayed there for more than 3 years and now she has her own house.
Time will come that I will also buy my own house, I have seen some good house offers in quick house sale, quick property sale and buy to let. I will consider getting low rate loan for my house. Since she is living alone, she was the one who prepared our food. Kyle is a good cook, she loves using nice Siemens kitchen appliances. According to her cooking can be easier and better if you have nice set of kitchen appliances. I tried to taste the pasta, salad and chicken that she prepared and I agree with her, it pays to have good appliances.
During dinner, we discussed things about the seminar and what are the current things on IT. It’s nice to have someone to share your ideas with particularly if you are in the same industry or profession. After an hour, Kyle got something to drink at it was herbal colon cleanse. I did not know that she’s into that. She gave me one and suggested me to try it because it’s good for health. Then, we went to her bedroom and she showed me her gift for her nephew, it’s a cute toy. She has a good eye for kids’ stuffs. She bought it at baby deals I’ll also check it out to buy some gifts for my niece and nephew. I decided to go home since it’s getting late, I was about to reach for the door when Kyle called me and handed me down my chopard watches. I forgot to wear it again when I washed my hands in the restroom. Kyle complemented that my watch looks so classy. Over all, the event was good and I’m hoping that Kyle will join me again for another IT event.
